Our Team

At Burnsville Family Dental, we pride ourselves on the warm and welcoming atmosphere that our office provides. Our primary concern is ensuring that our patients have positive experiences that include the highest degrees of professionalism and personalism. We are conveniently located 2 miles west of Burnsville Center Mall.

Ignatius Lee, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Lee received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from the University of Minnesota in 1984–the same university where he had earlier earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry in 1978, and where he also went on to earn his Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Operative Dentistry in 1987. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Minnesota Dental Association (MDA).

In addition to practicing dentistry at Burnsville Family Dental, Dr. Lee has been a full-time faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry since 1988. He takes pride in the role he plays, helping to educate, support, and mold tomorrow’s dentists into skilled, moral, and responsible professionals.

Dr. Lee has had decades of experience in the dental field, and throughout his career, has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care possible. Dr. Stephanie Lee and Dr. Melissa Lee

Dr. Stephanie Lee and Dr. Melissa Lee are dedicated dental professionals with a passion for serving their community and providing compassionate care. Both sisters earned their undergraduate degrees at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a double major in Microbiology and Genetic, Cell Biology, and Development and a minor in Sociology. They then pursued their shared interest dentistry, graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2012.

Their commitment to community service started in high school and lasted throughout college as they regularly volunteered at the Hennepin County Library in Plymouth, MN and North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. In addition, they periodically volunteered over the years with organizations including Feed My Starving Children and Second Harvest Heartland.

Upon graduation from dental school, driven by a desire to serve underserved communities, they pursued an opportunity to work at and help expand Caring Hands Dental Clinic, a community clinic in Alexandria, MN. Through the Caring Hands outreach program, they have served various rural communities in greater Minnesota diligently for over a decade and have established themselves as trusted members of the dental community.

Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Melissa continue their service and contributions to underserved populations by dedicating their time and support to initiatives like TeamSmile and Hope Dental Clinic (previously the dental clinic at Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul, MN).

Outside the dental office, the sisters enjoy spending quality time with their family and staying active through various forms of exercise. In addition, they enjoy the mental challenge of jigsaw puzzles and the excitement of escape rooms. They are also avid supporters of Minnesota sports teams, especially the Vikings, Timberwolves, and Twins.
